about
Wrote this song on the road to the beautiful town of Bend, Oregon. It was one of the most inspiring drives I have ever taken in my life. Picturesque country fields, farms, homesteads, and the gorgeous Eastern Oregon desert. One of my favorite parts of the country.
lyrics
See I keep missin' the days when I's free
Free to be me
Just travelin' alone on the open road
Emerald valleys, vermillion cliffs
Just all to myself with no constraints
Gaze at the plains, golden farmsteads, the azure sky
Wish I had a place
That I could call home
Where no man has gone
Where the Buffalo roam
Along the Open Road
The snow capped mountains
Desert tan sand
The ocean breeze
The smell of the pines
The mystery of
A cities lights
The West was crafted by the hands of time
Along the Open Road
Just like a cowboy,
I long to roam
The painted trail is a place I call home
Freedom and possibilities lay open to me
A mirage of past dreams across the barren sea...
Of the Open Road
